Maintenance

One factor to consider when choosing a new court is the cost in labour, materials and equipment, of the required maintenance.

All surfaces will benefit from regular maintenance, it helps to preserve the life of the court.
G & H Lillico clean and maintain all surfaces.

When cleaning a hard court, we will treat the macadam with a specialist product to destroy any moss and weeds over a period of 1 to 2 weeks depending on the severity of the problem.  Once the treatment has worked its magic we will then pressure wash away the debris and stains.  Following the cleaning process, it can be necessary to repaint the court and lines to bring it back to its original look.  We will discuss all requirements with the client prior to the commencement of the work.

Some courts do however require resurfacing depending upon the amount of wear and tear the court has endured.  This can be a cost effective way to restore you court to its original appearance.  Resurfacing a court can involve treating the existing court with the specialist product, pressure washing the surface, then piercing the surface of existing surface to allow more drainage before a new top layer of macadam is applied.  The court will then be allowed to settle for a few weeks before the court is repainted with the required colours.

Artificial courts require regular maintenance most of which can be done in house . Removing of debris and litter should be done weekly followed by brushing of surface and drag brushing /rotary brushing to keep infill of surface at optimum levels. If you have an artificial courts require a little more care and attention please contact us to discuss this in more detail.
